Saying she cannot express the pleasure it gives her to hear that he and his family are well and praying that this may long be the case; reporting that her health is better than it has been in years and hoping that she lives long enough to see them returned to Scotland; mentioning that she has willed his children each £100, noting that she intended to leave the sum to Sir Walter but that he encouraged her to give it to Tom's children, and noting that she has left Tom £1,000 more than Sir Walter; further discussing her will and sending her love.
